SANTA MONICA CASE STUDY

TYPE: SINGLE-FAMILY HOME
LOCATION: SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
STATUS: ON-GOING

This Santa Monica case study home exemplifies a unique interplay between interior and exterior spaces. Natural wood and board-formed concrete define the facade, creating a textural dialogue with the surrounding environment. The design utilizes substantial horizontal planes, evident in the tiered levels that subtly reveal inward views of a lush courtyard. This visual connection extends further by bringing the board-formed concrete inside, blurring the lines between internal and external spaces. The effect is a residence that feels both grounded and open, fostering a seamless connection with its natural surroundings.
